Dimitra Katsis

Dimitra Katsis focuses her practice in all areas of divorce and family law, including the litigation and negotiation of parenting time, child support, maintenance, division of property, complex financial issues, relocation, and orders of protection. Ms. Katsis is dedicated to being a zealous advocate for her clients all while approaching her cases with compassion. This approach allows her to understand her client’s needs on a personal level, advising them through an inherently complex and emotional time in their lives.

Ms. Katsis’ Experience

Ms. Katsis began her career as a law clerk at the Women’s Divorce and Family Law Group by Haid and Teich, LLP during her first year of law school and continued as an Associate Attorney upon admission to the Illinois Bar. While in law school, Ms. Katsis also worked as a law clerk at the Office of the Cook County Public Guardian’s Domestic Relations Division and was a Supreme Court Rule 711 Student Attorney with Loyola’s Civitas ChildLaw Clinic where she represented children in high-conflict dissolution of marriage, custody, and child abuse and neglect cases.

Ms. Katsis is a proud member of the Hellenic Bar Association, the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois, the Chicago Bar Association, and the Hellenic American Leadership Council. Ms. Katsis was chosen as a member of the Hellenic American Leadership Council’s inaugural Leadership 2030 Fellowship. Ms. Katsis is fluent in Greek and proficient in French.

Ms. Katsis’ Education

Ms. Katsis earned her law degree from Loyola Chicago School of Law, where she was admitted with a scholarship for her academic achievements and chosen for the prestigious Civitas Child Law Fellowship. Ms. Katsis was selected to represent Loyola and compete abroad on the school’s international mediation team. Ms. Katsis also served as the President of the Loyola Hellenic Bar Association and Vice President of Loyola’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Society.

Ms. Katsis received her undergraduate degree in International Studies from the University of Chicago. While at the University of Chicago, Ms. Katsis served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Judge Anthony Kyriakopoulos and the Honorable Judge James McGing.
